The kids on board the bus at the time were on their way to Waterleaf and Sabal Palm elementary schools when FHP said a Toyota Camry going east on Atlantic ran the red light and hit the back of the bus as it was crossing this intersection at Withrow Drive.
Brenda Snodgrass, 63, was driving the Camry that went underneath the school bus before slamming into a Chevy pickup truck. Snodgrass died from her injuries.
A Honda Accord was also hit during the crash.

Some drivers say us this intersection can be hazardous.
“I frequent here a couple times a week and unless you’re watching the light and paying attention to the traffic coming, it can be dangerous,” Derrick Orlando said.
There were seven students on the school bus but no students or any other drivers were hurt.
According to FHP, all the drivers, except for Snodgrass, had seat belts on. FHP is also looking into whether alcohol was involved.
