Deputies said reports of a kidnapping in Ponte Vedra Beach were false.
Deputies investigated a reported armed kidnapping at a Papa John's Pizza store in Ponte Vedra Beach on Wednesday.
They later determined a mother falsely reported the kidnapping after she and her daughter got into an argument.
Deputies are talking with the mother and daughter now. The St. Johns County Sheriff's Office said no determination has yet been made on whether the mother will face any charges.
