Yulee dad, baseball coach laid to rest

A beloved Yulee baseball coach and father was laid to rest on Saturday.

Christopher "Adam" Nichols, 33, was killed while cleaning up tornado debris in Yulee on August 13.

He had two sons and his wife is pregnant with twins.

Nichols owned an outdoor services company and loved coaching Yulee Little League. His former players wore Rays jerseys and were honorary pallbearers at a service held at First Baptist Church of Fernandina Beach.

A Rays team mom said the league will never be the same after Nichols' death.

The community has rallied behind Nichols' family. More than $50,000 for his wife, sons and unborn twins has been raised on a You Caring page.
