LONDON, England — Game week preparations continued on Thursday for the Jacksonville Jaguars as they get ready to face the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday at Wembley Stadium. The biggest note from The Grove outside of London is Cecil Shorts III, held out of practice because of his hamstring.
Players bundled up with chilly temperatures and no sign of the sun as practice began around 1 p.m. local time. Count defensive end Red Bryant among those who didn't mind. The former Seahawk likening the conditions to those he enjoyed while in Seattle.
Thursday also provided a chance to hear from Jaguars general manager Dave Caldwell for the first time since Blake Bortles took over the reins as quarterback. Speaking on his rookie signal caller, Caldwell said its about where they expected him to be at this point with highs and lows along the way. The big advantage of Bortles being in the game according to Caldwell is the offenses ability to sustain drives, taking pressure of the defense.
