A 1-year-old boy was found unresponsive while in his babysitter’s care in Woburn, WFXT has learned.
The investigation began as a medical call for an unresponsive 1-year-old at an apartment on Kilby Street. WFXT confirmed the child, Noah Larson, was in the care of a babysitter, who was a family friend.
Sources told WFXT his twin sister, Emmy Larson, is also at Children’s Hospital undergoing medical evaluation.
WFXT obtained the call log that shows a medical call came in just after 3 p.m. on Monday for an unresponsive 1-year-old. Records show he was breathing at the time.
"We've been involved with the investigation on the 16th, the day before yesterday," Ryan told WFXT.
Middlesex County District Attorney Marian Ryan would not comment on the condition of either child, but only said there was a fatality.
"We are in the very early stages of the investigation as you can understand we are in the process of gathering information, talking to people, obviously looking at evidence," Ryan said.
Ryan would not say whether this was a criminal investigation or something accidental in nature.
The family told FOX25 they were not ready to comment about the investigation, but shared photos with us of Noah and his sister.
A family friend started a Gofundme page to help the family with unexpected medical costs and to offer them support. The page was created Tuesday and has already surpsassed its $10,000 goal. Over $17,000 has been raised so far.
WFXT will continue to follow the investigation and continue to provide updates on the conditions of the children.
