OKLAHOMA CITY — Oklahoma City Thunder fans got a bombshell Monday morning when they learned Kevin Durant is leaving the team.
Many across the state were on the edge of their seats waiting to hear if Durant would stay in the Sooner State, but it was bad news for them when Durant announced he would be playing for Golden State.
Fans told KOKI they were not expecting the move.
They said it was even worse to learn the news on a holiday.
Some took to social media to show videos of them burning their Durant jerseys to show their reaction.
Fans said they wish KD well, but they are going to miss him in Oklahoma.
A post on Tulsa's Philbrook Museum Facebook page showed their reaction to Durant's decision.

Governor Mary Fallin took to Twitter to wish Kevin Durant luck.
Good luck to @KDTrey5. Thanks for helping put @okcthunder & @cityofokc on the map, & all your charitable work. Now it’s time to Thunder Up!
