PASCO COUNTY, Fla. — A homeless man in Florida was arrested Sunday for trespassing after he poured salt on the floor of a Walmart, saying he had to rid the store of evil spirits, authorities said.
Dameon Dean Cantrell, 38, remained in the Pasco County Jail Wednesday morning.
CBS12 in West Palm Beach reported that a manager at the Walmart told deputies Cantrell entered the store and poured salt on the floor and on his feet before walking out and into some nearby woods. Deputies found Cantrell lying under some trees in a wooded area on the store's property, the news station said.
He was arrested and booked into the jail in Land O'Lakes, jail records show.
