The Associated Press reports that General Mills has issued a recall for two types of Betty Crocker cake mix in the United States and one type in Canada over possible E. coli contamination.
According to General Mills' website, one of its suppliers "used Wondra flour implicated in the July 1, 2016, recall to manufacture the flavor chips" used in the affected Betty Crocker products.
The recalled items could contain E. coli 0121, "a potentially deadly bacterium that can cause bloody diarrhea and dehydration," General Mills says on its website. If you have any of the recalled products, do not use them, the company says.
