DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. — A Florida man was bitten by an alligator outside his front door.
WFTV reported that police officers were called out to a Daytona Beach home just after 9:40 p.m. Saturday when a man was bitten by an alligator at his home.
The man said heard a loud noise outside his house and thought someone was looking for his son so he opened the door.
That’s when the alligator lunged at him, biting the man in the upper thigh, WFTV reported. The man was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Officers said they found the alligator near the front door of the man’s house. Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission was called out to the scene and trapped the alligator before euthanizing it.
