LOGAN, Utah — This is no bum steer. A food company is offering 5 pounds of ground beef to Utah residents who receive a vaccine at free clinics being held on Saturday and Monday.
The cost of the vaccine is free. The beef is free, too.
In a news release, JBS Hyrum said it also will award free meat for a year to two winners -- one from each clinic. On its website, JBS Hyrum calls itself “a global, diversified protein company creating delicious products for customers and consumers around the world.”

The clinics are located in Logan, Utah, KSTU reported.
JBS Hyrum will partner with the Bear River Health Department to host the clinics, the television station reported. They will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, and from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Monday. All times are Mountain Daylight Time.
“Every COVID-19 vaccine received will help keep our team members and our community safe and healthy,” Darren Olsen, JBS Hyrum plant manager, said in a statement. “This sweepstakes is a great incentive to encourage everyone to come out and do their part to help put an end to the pandemic.”
