TIJUANA, Mexico — A Customs and Border Patrol agent is seen in a video buying tamales from a vendor on the Mexican side of a border barrier.
In the video, originally posted to social media and an independent Tijuana news site, a vendor reaches through an opening of the border barrier wall and hands the agent tamales, according to Border Report.

The vendor can be heard saying in Spanish, “If you don’t like them you don’t have to pay me, taste them first.”
It is unclear what type of tamales they were.
The vendor then returns to his cart and walks off shouting, “tamalitos, tamales.”
A Border Patrol official told Border Report the action was “inappropriate” and is investigating. However, it is unclear what laws the agent might have violated. The agency has not issued a formal statement.
