Springsteen, 73, made the announcement on his social media accounts. The singer-songwriter had been scheduled to perform on Tuesday at the MVP Arena in Albany, New York.

It was unclear who was ill and what they might have been suffering from.

The band had already postponed Thursday’s show in Columbus, Ohio, and Sunday night’s show in Connecticut at Mohegan Sun Arena, Rolling Stone reported.

The band has been plagued by COVID-19 since this year’s tour began last month in Tampa, Florida.

Band members Steven Van Zandt and violinist/singer Soozie Tyrell missed Texas shows after testing positive, according to Rolling Stone. Saxophonist Jake Clemons and half of the E Street’s touring backup singers also missed subsequent dates.

Springsteen said the band will reschedule the postponed dates, with an announcement coming soon.

“Postponed,” Van Zandt tweeted. “We don’t cancel.”

“We are working on rescheduling the date so please hold on to your tickets as they will be valid for the rescheduled show,” Springsteen tweeted.
