Ozzy Osbourne has tested positive for COVID-19, his wife said during an emotional interview Thursday.
The “Prince of Darkness,” 73, who rose to stardom with the metal group Black Sabbath and then embarked on a successful solo career with hits like “Crazy Train,” is “OK,” his wife, Sharon Osbourne, said during an interview on her new television show, “The Talk UK,” Rolling Stone reported.
“I spoke to him and he’s OK,” Sharon Osbourne said during the interview, during which she broke down in tears. “I am very worried about Ozzy right now. We’ve gone two years without him catching COVID, and it’s just Ozzy’s luck he would get it now.”

“It’ll take me a week to get my old man back on his feet again, and I will be back (on ‘The Talk’) in a week,” Sharon Osbourne said. “We’re gonna get him a negative test by next week.”
It is the latest health setback for Ozzy Osbourne. He announced in January 2020 that he was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease during an interview on “Good Morning America” and canceled the American portion of his tour, “No More Tours.” He also fell early in 2019 and had to undergo surgery.

Sharon Osbourne tested positive for COVID-19 in December 2020, and the Osbournes’ daughter, Kelly Osbourne, also had a positive test, People reported. Two of their granddaughters also tested positive, according to the magazine.
Ozzy Osbourne has not commented on his COVID-19 case publicly or on social media, Rolling Stone reported. He is completing work on an upcoming studio album and tweeted a photo of himself earlier this week.
