Since masks are tough to come by in many parts of the United States and around the world, people are becoming more creative in crafting one on their own.
A new video that shows how something as common as a T-shirt can be quickly converted into coronavirus protective gear has gone viral on social media.
In the video, Bollywood actor Ronit Roy uses a T-shirt to fashion a face covering. Roy puts the T-shirt over his face and twists it in the back, then pulls it over the top of his head. The covering leaves only his eyes exposed.
Roy also demonstrates the thickness of the protection of the T-shirt mask by trying to blow out a lighter through the fabric.
The tweet containing the video has been view more than 1.7 million times since it was posted on Monday.
