CHEYENNE, Wyo. — Wyoming Gov. Mark Gordon has entered a 14-day self-quarantine, following possible COVID-19 exposure, his office announced Monday.
According to KTVQ, Gordon was potentially exposed to a person who tested positive for the novel coronavirus while at a meeting where safety protocols were followed.
The Casper Star-Tribune reported Gordon may have been exposed during a meeting last week that was also attended by a White House coronavirus official.

According to Gordon’s office, the governor took a rapid COVID-19 test at the Laramie County Health Department upon learning of the potential exposure, and he tested negative. He is now awaiting a second test and is quarantining as a precaution through Nov. 11, KTVQ reported.
Meanwhile, Gordon spokesman Michael Pearlman confirmed to the Star-Tribune that meeting in question was Wednesday gathering at the Wind River Hotel & Casino that included Dr. Deborah Birx, pandemic response coordinator for the White House Coronavirus Task Force.
Northern Arapaho Business Council Chairman Lee Spoonhunter, who also attended the Wind River event, has tested positive for COVID-19, the Star-Tribune reported.
