MACON, Ga. — A man who was found shot and killed in Georgia had been released from jail only hours earlier.
Damien Felton was released on an $82,500 bond on Friday night and was found shot and killed outside of his Macon home on Saturday morning, WSB reported.
Felton had been jailed on murder charges for the death of Amond Norwood, who was found under a mattress in an illegal dump in May 2021, WSB said.
The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office told WSB they have not identified any suspects or motive for Felton’s murder and are still actively investigating.
There are two other suspects currently facing charges in connection with Norwood’s death.
