Florida man accused of putting gun to man’s head, stealing woman’s puppy

PENSACOLA, Fla. — A Florida man is accused of breaking into a home, putting a gun to a man’s head and stealing a puppy from a woman as he fled the scene, authorities said.

Randall Bell, 18, of Pensacola, was arrested Monday and charged with burglary with battery, burglary with battery domestic violence, criminal mischief, aggravated assault with a firearm, possession of a firearm in the commission of a felony and fleeing and eluding law enforcement at high speed, according to Escambia County Sheriff’s Office online booking records.

According to an arrest report, Bell forced open the door to the victim’s home and yelled as he ran inside, WEAR-TV reported. Bell then allegedly pointed a gun at the victim, according to the television station.

Bell then accidentally released the magazine of the gun and it fell to the floor, WKRG-TV reported. He quickly reached down to recover it and placed the barrel of the firearm against the victim’s head and threatened to kill him, the affidavit stated.

A woman inside the home said that Bell took a puppy out of her arms, the television station reported.

Deputies responded to the home and later located Bell’s truck on a highway, WEAR reported. Deputies said Bell led them on a chase before they overtook him and placed him under arrest.

Deputies did not recover a gun but found the puppy, which was safe, according to the television station.

Bell was booked into the Escambia County Jail and his bail was set at $94,000, according to online booking records.
