MANCHESTER, N.H. — Authorities seized several items, including a refrigerator, on Tuesday while searching a New Hampshire home where missing girl Harmony Montgomery used to live with her father and stepmother, according to WFXT and officials.
Authorities spent hours searching the home at 644 Union Street in Manchester as part of the investigation into Harmony’s disappearance, WFXT reported.

Harmony was 5 years old when she went missing between Nov. 28 and Dec. 10, 2019. Earlier this year, officials said they had determined that Harmony was with her father, 30-year-old Adam Montgomery, and her stepmother, 31-year-old Kayla Montgomery, along with the couple’s two children when they were evicted from a home in Manchester on Nov. 27, 2019. Adam and Kayla Montgomery told police that the young girl was living with her mother in Massachusetts, WFXT reported.

Harmony’s mother, Crystal Sorey, told WFXT on Tuesday that the search in New Hampshire was “rough.”
“I know in my heart this is no longer a rescue mission,” she said. “They’re looking for a body.”

In March, a grand jury indicted Adam Montgomery on a charge of second-degree assault. He is accused of striking Harmony in the face in July 2019, although authorities said the incident was not directly related to his daughter’s disappearance, according to WFXT.
Authorities have also arrested Kayla Montgomery on a charge of welfare fraud after investigators alleged that she obtained $1,500 in food stamp benefits between December 2019 and June 2021 by failing to remove Harmony from her family account, despite the fact that Harmony was no longer living with her or her husband.

Harmony is described as a blonde-haired, blue-eyed girl weighing 50 pounds and standing about 4 feet tall. She is blind in one eye and should be wearing glasses, police said.
With help from the community, officials are offering a $150,000 reward for information leading to Harmony’s whereabouts. Anyone with information related to her disappearance can contact authorities at 603-203-6060.
