Hudson Madsen, son of ‘Reservoir Dogs’ actor Michael Madsen, dead at 26

Hudson Lee Madsen, the 26-year-old son of actor Michael Madsen, died Sunday in Hawaii of a suspected suicide, according to the Department of the Medical Examiner in Honolulu.
“We are heartbroken and overwhelmed with grief and pain at the loss of Hudson,” a representative for Michael Madsen said on behalf of the family in a statement to Today. “His memory and light will be remembered by all who knew and loved him.”
The family first confirmed the death to British entertainment news outlet Metro.
A spokesperson for the Honolulu Medical Examiner’s office confirmed to People magazine that Hudson Madsen died of a gunshot wound to the head.
Hudson Madsen and his wife, Carlie, moved to the island of Oahu in 2019, People reported, citing social media posts.
Hudson Madsen was one of three children shared by Michael Madsen, 64, and his wife, DeAnna Madsen, 61, whom he married in 1996. The “Reservoir Dogs” actor has three other children from previous relationships, Today reported.
Michael Madsen’s film credits include multiple collaborations with film director Quentin Tarantino, who is the godfather of both Hudson and Calvin Madsen, People reported, cited IMDB.
In addition to “Reservoir Dogs,” Michael Madsen, 64, is known for his roles in Tarantino’s “Kill Bill” series, “The Hateful Eight” and “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.” His credits also include “Sin City” and “Thelma and Louise,” among others.
“We ask for privacy and respect during this difficult time,” the family’s statement concluded.
