ANDREWS, Texas — A Texas woman had a nightmarish experience when she went to use her bathroom in the middle of the night.
Patty Tidwell, of Andrews, snapped on her bathroom light and saw a massive python had crawled out of the toilet, KWES reported.
“I got up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom, and I open my bathroom door, switched on the light and there was this big python hanging out on the back of the toilet hanging into my sink,” Tidwell told the television station. “It freaked me out, (I) never expected that.”

Tidwell said animal control arrived in less than five minutes, KWES reported. They used her hair straightener to remove the snake.
“Had an unexpected visitor at 3:30-ish this morning,” Tidwell wrote on social media. “Scared me when I opened the bathroom door.”
Andrews police officers said they believe the python was a pet because it was large and appeared to be well-fed, KWES reported.
Tidwell said she has been putting bricks on the toilet -- just in case another snake wants to visit, the television station reported.
