CLEARWATER, Fla. — Police in Clearwater, Florida, have arrested a homeless man they say stole a family’s luggage and then wore their clothing.
Police told WFLA that Mark Brienza found a luggage claim check at a restaurant, and brought it to the hotel it was from, where he exchanged it for the luggage.
The victim then called the police after seeing Brienza near the hotel the next day wearing his clothes, WWSB reported. Police arrived and arrested Brienza.

Police told WFLA that Brienza admitted he “felt bad after he realized the items were for an entire family.” He apologized to the family, and told them where they could find their stolen items.
Brienza faces charges of grand theft and was placed in jail without bond.
