BATON ROUGE, La. — A Georgia businessman whose body was found wrapped in a rug and plastic in an abandoned lot had fentanyl, cocaine and ethanol in his system at the time of his death, according to a toxicology report released on Tuesday.
According to the East Baton Rouge Parish Coroner’s Office, Nathan Millard, 42, of Covington, whose body was discovered on March 6, died from the combined effects of the narcotics, WSB-TV reported. The manner of Millard’s death has been ruled accidental by the coroner’s office.
Millard went missing on Feb. 22, according to WAFB-TV. He was in Baton Rouge for a business meeting the next morning and had a video call with his wife from an LSU basketball game at about 7:30 p.m. He went to dinner with a client at a pub about two hours later and left the establishment about an hour later. According to WBRZ-TV, Millard left after reportedly being cut off by a bartender for having too much to drink.

Authorities said that Millard was seen at a Greyhound bus station about a mile from the bar at about 11:30 p.m.
The next morning, the client scheduled to meet Millard asked police to conduct a welfare check after the businessman missed their meeting and did not respond to messages. His body was found at 3 a.m. on March 6, wrapped in plastic and carpet in a vacant lot after a person reported a foul smell. The location was about 3 miles from Millard’s hotel, WSB reported.
“There doesn’t appear to be any foul play at this point,” Baton Rouge police captain Kevin Heinz said at the time during a news conference, according to WAFB. “I know that he was placed there obviously by another individual, we would like to know who and why.”
According to the Baton Rouge Police Department, Derrick Perkins, 45, was arrested in connection with the case, according to WAFB. Perkins was charged with unlawful disposal of remains, obstruction of justice, simple criminal damage to property, and failure to seek assistance, according to the television station.
Tiffany Ann Guidry was also arrested in the case, according to WSB. She was charged with unlawful disposal of human remains, prostitution and failure to seek assistance.
