MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. — A man stripped naked and jumped onto a fire truck on a Maryland interstate on Friday, authorities said.
Pete Piringer, a spokesperson for Montgomery County Fire & Rescue Service, said crews responded to a crash on Interstate 270, WJLA-TV reported. Piringer said firefighters encountered an unattended vehicle, and the alleged driver disrobed and “dropped all his clothes in the middle of the road,” according to the television station.
The naked man jumped onto the fire truck after attempting to enter several vehicles, WTTG-TV reported.

“The man jumped onto the truck and was attempting to get into the moving vehicle,” Piringer told the television station. “They slowed down so the man would have to hold on. The doors were locked, of course.”
Piringer said the man appeared to be suffering from “excited delirium,” The Daily Voice reported. The man was hospitalized for evaluation, Piringer said.
Several lanes of I-270 were closed, but the highway had reopened by 11 a.m. EDT, according to WJLA.
