National Doughnut Day 2022: 5 sweet freebies, deals

National Doughnut Day is Friday, and many restaurant and bakery chains are offering sweet deals in celebration of the “holiday.”

Here are five offers you won’t want to miss:

1. Krispy Kreme

Participating locations of the doughnut chain are offering a trio of deals Friday – including one free doughnut each for in-store customers. In addition, patrons can get an Original Glazed dozen for just $1 with the purchase of any other dozen, according to the Krispy Kreme website. Customers also can score 50% off an Eat Doughnuts hat.

2. Dunkin’

Participating Dunkin’ restaurants are offering a free doughnut with the purchase of any beverage Friday, the chain wrote in an Instagram post.

3. 7-Eleven

According to “Today,” participating locations of the convenience store chain are offering a buy one, get one free deal on doughnuts from Friday through Sunday. You must be a member of the 7Rewards or Speedy Rewards program to get the deal.

4. Duck Donuts

In-store customers at participating locations can get a cinnamon sugar doughnut for free on Friday, the chain said in a news release.

5. Shipley Do-nuts

From 5 a.m. to noon Friday, customers can get a free glazed doughnut with any purchase at participating locations, the chain said in an Instagram post.
