LAS VEGAS — One person has died and two others have been injured after a shooting in a hotel room in the MIrage on the Las Vegas Strip late Thursday night, police say.
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department confirmed on Twitter early Friday morning that a total of three people were shot at the Mirage hotel. Two people were injured and one person died. LVMPD said that the victims and suspects knew each other.
LVMPD Captain Dori Koren told KLAS that the shooting happened Thursday night around 8:30 p.m. There was an argument inside the room between four people, which led to the shooting. The suspect left afterward.
According to KLAS, the two people who were injured remain in critical condition.
Koren confirmed on Twitter Friday morning that the suspect was identified, located and they have been arrested all “within six hours of the incident.”
The investigation is ongoing. No further information has been released.
