MANCHESTER, N.H. — A man was arrested in New Hampshire after leaving three children unattended in a car with a gun and knife inside, police say.
Manchester NH Police said that on the Fourth of July around 5:20 p.m., officers were called out to a Walmart after receiving a call about three young children inside of a car unattended.
When officers arrived, according to WFXT, they found the children — an 8-month-old, a 1-year-old and a 9-year-old — in the back of the car. The car was locked and running.
Police said that Tyler Kennedy, 27, came out of Walmart and walked over to the car soon after police arrived. During their investigation, police found a loaded gun and knife in a backpack in the car that the children were able to access.
Kennedy has been booked on three counts of endangering the welfare of a child, according to WFXT.
