There have been a lot of shortages recently and the latest may impact your daily caffeine shots.
Starbucks says it is being impacted by temporary supply shortages and depending on the cafe, the lack of supplies may be different, The Wall Street Journal reported.
“Specific items will vary by market and store, and some stores will experience outages of various items at the same time,” Starbucks spokesperson Sanja Gould told WMAQ. “We apologize for the inconvenience and are working quickly and closely with our supply chain vendors to restock items as soon as possible.”
Some locations don’t have enough cups and syrups, while others may have run out of cake pops, cup stoppers or mocha.
To make up for the shortages, less popular items are being paused so higher-selling items will be available, The Wall Street Journal reported.
Users of the Starbucks app may see a message that says that some items may not be available, USA Today reported.
Starbucks staples are not the first supplies to have been impacted as the country continues to reopen after a year long pandemic.
Earlier this year, some companies had difficulty getting ketchup packets. There’s also been a computer chip shortage impacting car manufacturing and sales, and rising demand has seen an increase in lumber prices, WMAQ reported.
