MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. — A 3-year-old toddler died after he was left out in a car outside a preschool in Florida Monday.
According to The Associated Press, the Miami Gardens Police Department said that both of the boy’s parents work at the preschool and he was a part of a big family.
WTVJ said that the incident happened just after 3:45 p.m. at Lubavitch Education Center. The boy was removed from the car unresponsive, police told WTVJ. Miami-Dade Fire Rescue took the boy to the hospital, where he later died.
The AP said that the weather on Monday was in the mid-90s.
according to the AP, Lubavitch Education Center’s dean Rabbi Benzion Korf said in a statement, that “there are no words can capture the heartbreak and sadness we feel.” Korf also said that there would be a therapist and grief counselors for staff and students on Tuesday.
