DAYTON, Ohio — A now-viral video captured an emotional moment between a critically wounded Indiana police officer and her fiancée.
According to WHIO-TV, Sierra Neal and her bride-to-be, Richmond police Officer Seara Burton, had planned to exchange vows last Friday. But that all changed Aug. 10 when a man shot Burton during a traffic stop, leaving her in critical condition, authorities said.
Neal still found a way to celebrate the couple’s love over the weekend. A TikTok video shows Neal, clad in her wedding dress and veil, walking toward Burton’s bed at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, Ohio, according to WHIO.
“This walk was supposed to look a lot different, but I will always be thankful we still got to celebrate,” Neal captioned the clip. “Even if it is not legal on paper, you are my wife. I love you Seara.”

The video quickly went viral, receiving more than 4 million views and 380,000 likes by early Tuesday.
“That love is still in place, and her fiancée is by her side continually,” Richmond police Chief Mike Britt told WHIO. “So the actual, official marriage, that can be done at a little different time, but the love and support is all still there.”
