According to Lafayette County Sheriff Reg Gill, Joseph Anthony Quaglia, 18, of Mount Horeb, Wisconsin, and a 17-year-old from Galena, Illinois, stole a vehicle early Thursday and crashed it into a ditch, the Wisconsin State Journal reported.

The teens then went to Blanchardville and stole a second vehicle shortly before 6 a.m. CDT, Gill told the newspaper.

At about 7:42 a.m. CDT, the car was reported to be submerged in Yellowstone Lake in the Lafayette County town of Fayette, according to WKOW.

Gill said the teens then went to the Cork Down Saloon and burglarized it twice, the State Journal reported.

Quaglia and the juvenile were identified through the restaurant’s surveillance systems, the newspaper reported.

Quaglia was taken into custody at the Lafayette County Jail, WKOW reported. The juvenile was not detained because of his age, police said.

Deputies said charges will come from the Lafayette County District Attorney, the State Journal reported.
