GREEN BAY, Wis. — A woman on trial accused of killing and dismembering a man in Green Bay, Wisconsin reportedly attacked her attorney Tuesday during a court hearing.

Taylor Schabusiness, 25, was in court Tuesday when her attorney asked the judge for additional time for a defense expert to review his client’s competency to stand trial, according to The Associated Press.

After the judge agreed to postpone her March 6 trial, Schabusiness allegedly attacked her attorney, Quinn Jolly, according to WLUK.

Schabusiness’ competency hearing was moved from Tuesday to March 6, according to the AP. The judge proposed a May 15 trial date, however, Jolly filed a motion to be withdrawn from the case as her attorney but the judge did not rule on that immediately.

Schabusiness is charged with first-degree intentional homicide, mutilating a corpse, and third-degree sexual assault for the alleged attack of Shad Thyroin in Feb. 2022, according to WLUK. Schabusiness pleaded not guilty and not guilty by reason of mental disease or defect.

According to the AP, Schabusiness allegedly strangled Thyroin at a house in Green Bay, sexually abused him, and then dismembered his body. She also allegedly left his body parts throughout the house and in a car.

Schabusiness is being held on a $2 million cash bond, according to the AP.
