Video shows women steal over $7,000 dollars-worth of fragrances from ULTA

Nassau County Ulta Theft (NCSO)

YULEE, Fla. — The Nassau County Sheriff’s Office needs your help identifying two women accused of stealing from a local ULTA store.

Sheriff Bill Leeper says Yulee’s only ULTA is now out more than $7,000 dollars in products. Leeper says the incident happened on May 25th around 3:15 in the afternoon. Surveillance video shows two women leave the store with baskets full of fragrances. A case report from the sheriff’s office lists almost 60 fragrances stolen, ranging anywhere from $50 to $150 dollars in cost.

“People that do this to retail stores, they’re really low-lifes and they need to be put in jail,” Leeper said.

Action News Jax went to the store and spoke to a manager; she didn’t want to comment. The ULTA in Yulee isn’t the first one to be hit. In November 2020, police in Suffolk, Virginia were looking for three women accused of stealing $11,000 dollars-worth of beauty items. Back in March 2021, police in Fresno, California said two ULTA stores were hit – accusing the suspects there of stealing $6,000 dollars in merchandise.

Leeper says the employees at Yulee’s ULTA did the right thing by not intervening:

“You don’t want to get into a situation where you may be hurt, so just grab all the information you can.”

Leeper wants the suspects off the streets.

“They’re scumbags, they need to be arrested,” he said.

Leeper says they left in a white Ford sedan.
