JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Jacksonville Jaguars legend Tony Boselli spoke Thursday about his 10-day hospitalization due to the coronavirus.
Boselli told Action Sports Jax’s Dan Hicken that he had to be in the intensive care unit for five days.
Boselli told Hicken he did not want to go into the ICU.
He fell ill with the coronavirus and was trying to fight it. He thought he had turned the corner, -- but then it got worse a couple of days later and ultimately he went into the hospital.

Hicken asked Boselli if he ever had to go on a ventilator and he said no, but he did remember being foggy one night and hearing the doctor say, “If this doesn’t work, we’re going to have to bring in the machine." Boselli said he wasn’t sure what they meant by “the machine.”
Boselli’s wife Angie also got the coronavirus, but she is doing much better now -- she didn’t have near the sickness that her husband had.
“You’re in the hospital and you’re in the ICU, you know, and you can’t leave the room and no one can come see you unless you’re in a full protective suit and all the protective equipment, so it’s really scary. Your mind runs, you know. You can’t see your family or anybody until you get better. Everybody that I dealt with was amazing,” Boselli said.
Boselli is grateful to be back home with his family recovering. He said he is feeling much better.
