Despite missing some key players, the Jaguars (2-11) look to break their six-game losing streak in today’s matchup against the Jets (3-10).
Early Sunday the Jaguars announced Myles Jack had tested positive for COVID-19 and will be out for today’s game.
Just two days before the game, the Jaguars placed three starters on the reserve/COVID-19 list.
The most notable player to hit the COVID-19 list is pass rusher, Josh Allen. The other two starters come from the offensive side of the ball, receiver Laviska Shenault and guard Ben Bartch.
Due to being unvaccinated, Allen will be out for at least 10 days, which means he will not only miss today’s game but next week’s game against the Patriots as well.
The Jaguars are not the only ones dealing with COVID-19 issues. The Jets have over 20 players and personnel on the list, including their head coach, Robert Saleh. With Saleh out, assistant coach Ron Middleton will lead the Jets on Sunday.
The game kicks off at 1 p.m. inside MetLife stadium in New York.

Jaguars have two very good drives. Fake punt and recovered fumble help cause but 7 minute and almost 6 minute drives against this bad Jets defense

Will Richardson touchdown after a fumble by Trevor on the run. Jags were going to get an offensive lineman a touchdown today I guess.

UPDATE 1:28 P.M.:
Jets touchdown. Zach Wilson ran for a 52-yard score. The extra point is BLOCKED. Jets lead 6-3, with just under 4 minutes left in the 1st quarter.
Zach Wilson for a 52 yard run because the Jags couldn't sack him or tackle him - atrocious. Rudy Ford with one hell of an angle. My goodness.

UPDATE 1:16 P.M:
The Jaguars almost intercept Zach Wilson. The play was an incomplete pass and the Jags challenged, call was upheld.
I don't mind the challenge. It was close.

UPDATE 1:12 P.M:
Jaguars field goal. Wright with a 21-yard field goal. Jaguars lead 3-0. 8 minutes left in the first quarter.
Well, the fake punt was key. Turns into a 7 minute drive. Probably not the best time to complain, let's enjoy the 3 points.

The play calling inside the 5 was less than inspiring. Read option, route for a left tackle, run on 3rd and 2... now a field goal. It's 3-0 but have no idea how you don't score there.

UPDATE 1:05 P.M.:
TRICK PLAY! Jaguars fake punt on 4th and 2, and get the 1st down.
GAMETIME: Jaguars won the toss and chose to start with the ball.
Jaguars win toss and actually take the football... the ref, was like "you want the football?" - haha.
