After 24 years at Action News Jax, it’s time to start a new chapter in my life and career.
I came to Jacksonville in December of 1996, the first evening anchor of WAWS, a local station under new ownership.

My first words on-air? “Good morning.” Yes, it was 10 o’clock at night. Who would have guessed we’d spend the next 18 years laughing together!
This station and the people who work here are my family, and we work tirelessly to serve our community. Action News Jax changed the look of local news and how it’s covered, and I’m so proud to have been a part of that.
When my role here changed in 2014, I embraced it. Always with the most important person in mind, you, our viewer. That’s what it’s always been about for me. It’s why as my time in Jacksonville ends, I want to thank you.
Thank you for allowing me the privilege of telling your story. Thank you for trusting me with your most personal moments, both the joys and the sorrows. That was never lost on me, when someone let me into their life because they trusted I would get it right. Thank you for being tough on me when I needed it and kind, so incredibly kind when I needed that too.
Thank you, Jacksonville, for everything you’ve given me over the years. For all the support, the wonderful friendships — a lifetime of memories and love.
My last day on air is March 26, and the new adventure begins. Stay tuned!
