FHP: Lanes on northbound side of Buckman Bridge close down in shifts for death investigation

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A backup on the Buckman Bridge began as an investigation into a deadly crash.

Action News Jax showed you the bumper-to-bumper traffic earlier Thursday.

We’ve learned the crash happened Monday.

The Florida Highway Patrol said they were told about the crash on Wednesday.

FHP said another crash happened before their investigation Thursday, which made them close lanes on the bridge.
