ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. — Florida Highway Patrol is investigating after one man died leaving the Interstate 95 exit ramp to International Golf Parkway.
According to the crash report, at around 2:25 a.m., a 39-year-old man from Jacksonville was traveling southbound in his sedan on I-95. When the driver tried to navigate onto the exit ramp at International Golf Parkway, he lost control for unknown reasons, travelled into the grass shoulder through the tree line and struck a tree.
The driver was pronounced dead at the scene by St. Johns County Fire Rescue.
At this time, the exit ramp is still blocked. Action News Jax’s Marithza Ross will continue to monitor the traffic situation in the area.
