November has been very warm. As of Nov. 25th, the month ranks as the warmest on record in Jacksonville & with only the last 2 remaining days of the month expected to be cooler, this year’s Nov. will likely remain the warmest on record.

The National Weather Service is hoping to replace the current U.S. radar system (NEXRAD, 1988) with a new one - Phased Array Radar. The rapid scan radar can incredible detail of severe storms, tornadoes & hurricanes. The National Severe Storm Laboratory (NSSL) is sharing their vision * here *.
