JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Action News Jax’s First Alert Meteorologists are tracking another cool, rainy day Tuesday, calling for a First Alert Weather Day.

Rain increased areawide after midnight and will be sticking around for the morning commute in Jacksonville and NE Florida and SE Georgia.

A storm is possible from Southern Clay, Central and Southern St. Johns, and Putnam counties as an area of low pressure nears through the day.

The coverage of the rain begins to decrease as we head into the afternoon Tuesday.

Highs Tuesday will be in the 60s in NE Florida and just the 50s in SE Georgia. Cold air will move in by Wednesday morning.

Temperatures will be in the 40s starting Wednesday morning.

Christmas Eve on Friday will be sunny and mild with temperatures near 70 degrees. Christmas Day is looking chilly in the morning, lows in the mid-40s. Afternoon highs will be in the low 70s with lots of sunshine.
