The First Alert Weather Team is tracking scattered rain this morning in southeast Georgia and a few showers in northeast Florida for the morning commute. The bulk of the heaviest rain will stay north and west of Jacksonville for much of the Tuesday morning commute. However, a few showers/heavy downpours are possible. Widespread showers will continue this morning for southeast Georgia. This will be the first of two waves of rain today.
More locally heavy rainfall will move in this afternoon and evening as a line of heavy showers gradually shifts south and east of Duval County through the evening commute. Everyone should see rain today. An isolated thunderstorm is possible today as well. Rainfall totals will be 1-2+ inches with locally higher amounts.
A few showers will linger into Wednesday morning. Some scattered showers are likely tomorrow afternoon as a cold front moves through the area. A cool down begins Wednesday night with morning lows dropping down into the 30s by Thursday morning. Highs Thursday will only be in the upper 50s!
